What Is Internet Banking?
Grant County State Bank Internet Banking is a convenient way to access your accounts without going to the Bank. Our Internet Banking product is available to you from any computer - 24 hours a day, 7 days a week anywhere internet access is available.

What Can I Do With Internet Banking?
You can access your checking, savings, certificates of deposits, or loans to verify balances, transfer money between accounts at GCSB, and export information to the personal financial software listed as follows:  Comma Separated File(.CSV); Microsoft Money(.OFX); Intuit Quickbooks 2004 & older(.IIF); Intuit Quicken 2004 & older(.QIF).

How Do The Balances That Are Shown Online Compare To The Bank Computer Balances?
The balance you see Online is the previous day's balance.  A deposit or withdrawal will not appear on your account until the following day.

How Much Does Internet Banking Cost?
The service is free for our customers.

Is Internet Banking Private and Secure?
Yes it is. We have incorporated state-of-the-art security into our Internet Banking to ensure both privacy and security. We require passwords, data encryption, firewalls and internal security procedures.

What Is Data Encryption?
128-bit electronic data encryption provides privacy for the data flowing between your computer and the bank’s online server.

What Is A Firewall?
Our computer systems are protected by a system of filtering routers and firewalls, which create a protective shield between the outside Internet and the internal network of Grant County State Bank. We use several layers of technology to ensure that your Internet transactions are secure and tamper-proof.

What Can I Do To Protect Myself?
Your Access ID and Password provide one of the most important security features for Internet Banking. Because you can select and change your password at anytime, you can prevent unauthorized online access to your accounts.

Other security tips:

·                  Keep your web browser software up-to-date to take advantage of the latest security enhancements.

·                  Take precautions to keep your computers free from viruses that might be used to capture password keystrokes or send information from your hard drive.

·                  Please be careful where you choose to do your Internet Banking and what you do with your transaction data.  DO NOT use coffee shop Internet hook-ups or rented computers. Computers can be configured to capture private information from unsuspecting Internet users.

·                  If you get an unexpected web page asking you for your debit card, password or account information, DO NOT disclose this information.

·                   DO NOT share storage devices that contain confidential information even if you think you have erased the information.

·                     It is a good idea to shred printouts of your account information before discarding them. 

 

 

What Equipment Do I Need?

For PC Banking you will need an IBM-compatible personal computer, running Microsoft Windows Vista or higher. To access Internet Banking you need Internet access and a browser with a version of 7.0 or higher (for best results use Internet Explorer).

Can I Access Internet Banking Through My Current Internet Service?

Yes. The browsers that we require work with most Internet service providers.

 

Does Internet Banking Work With Quicken and Microsoft Money?

Yes it does. Data can be downloaded to spreadsheets such as Microsoft Excel, Comma Separated File(.CSV)  or other personal financial management software such as Microsoft Money(.OFX), Intuit Quickbooks 2004 & older(.IIF); or Intuit Quicken 2004 & older(.QIF).

How Do I Get Started?

If you have an account with Grant County State Bank, you will need to go to our web site at www.grantcountystatebank.com, click on the New User Signup under the “Online Banking” button. It will then take you to the disclosure page. Please print this for your records.  After reading and agreeing to the disclosure click on the “I Understand and Agree” button.  You will then need to fill in the required information on the First Time User Information and submit.   We will mail two (2) separate notices to you, one with your Access ID and one with your Password.  These are temporary.  You will need to create a new Access ID and Password the first time you log on. 

 

What Do I Do Once I Receive Both My Access ID and Password?

Go to the Grant County State Bank website at www.grantcountystatebank.com. In the Online Banking banner input the Access ID that was sent to you and then Log-On.  Enter the temporary Password.  You will then be prompted to create your own Access ID and Password.  Next will be Security Data, enter your email address. Next you will select some challenge questions    The Grant County State Bank Internet Banking Disclosure will come up and you have to agree.  You are now off and running.

 

How Long Will It Take To Get Setup For Internet Banking?

Your Access ID and Password will be assigned and mailed to you within 3-5 days. The Access ID and Password are mailed in separate envelopes and mailed one day apart for security purposes.

 

When I Log In For The First Time I Get The Error Message “Invalid Security Code”.  What Am I Doing Wrong?

When entering the Access ID and Password you received by mail, you will need to enter them exactly as they appear on the notice. The system is case sensitive so be sure to enter capital letters. In addition, the letter O can sometimes fall between numbers. This can sometimes be confused for the number 0. Be sure to try either option.

 

If I Have Multiple Checking and Savings Accounts, Do I Have To Enroll For Each Account?

When you enroll using your account you should see all accounts within your port at Grant County State Bank. If you do not see all accounts they may not be linked to your other accounts. Contact Grant County State Bank support and we will help you gain access to all your accounts.

 

What Is Multi-factor Authentication?

On August 8, 2001, the Federal Government issued a guidance entitled Authentication in an Electronic Banking Environment (2001 Guidance). The 2001 Guidance focused on risk management controls necessary to authenticate the identity of retail and commercial customers accessing Internet-based financial services.

 

How Do I Report a Lost/Stolen Debit Card?

To report a lost or stolen Debit Card, call us at GCSB 701-622-3491 during banking hours.  After hours, on weekends, or holidays call 1-800-472-3272.

 

Will My Internet Banking Access Ever Expire?

Yes, if you do not access your account for any 90 day period, GCSB reserves the right to disconnect your service.

 

 

 

What Do I Do If I Lock Myself Out or Become Disabled?

After 3 unsuccessful attempts to access your Internet Banking account, you will be locked out and must call the bank at 701-622-3491 to reset your password.

 

Is There a Time Limit While In Internet Banking?

There is an inactivity timer that will log you off after 15 minutes of no activity.
